The tool can be used to encrypt any kind of file on any kind of (writeable) media, using Blowfish and DESX. Additionally, it can encrypt your text so you can benefit from genuinely secure communication over the Internet. The text is decipherable with a password that you must get to the recipient in a secure way, of course.
Crypt4Free also supports secure file deletion, so that files you decide to scrap can't be easily recovered later, and it also can delete Internet history and other "privacy tracks" related to your computer or Internet usage.
